Heritage Carpets (New Zealand)

Heritage carpets imports commercial grade carpet tiles from Singapore, which have been sourced from various countries. The carpets carry a very competitive price point, and offer serious value for money. The current range consists of over 20 contemporary styles. Each of these is available in numerous colour options.

The stocked designs can be delivered within just a few days nationwide, allowing contractors, dealers (– and their clients) to save on stocking costs while still providing a timely delivery service. The rest of the range is available within just a few weeks, ample time for most commercial projects.

Heritage supplies the product to motivated dealers who are keen for new product and good margin opportunities. Heritage caters to a wide price bracket, focussing mainly on the previously neglected middle and entry level qualities. It has been identified that the current carpet tile market in New Zealand is dominated by expensive and exclusive selections. Heritage intends to open the market to all contractors and end users.

The People

Anand Mitha

Anand is our Auckland Sales Manager who comes from a 10 year background in retail management in designer eyewear. He is extremely passionate about helping people achieve their goals and building strong relationships. Anand will be promoting our Modulyss brand of European designer carpet tiles. He loves his fashion and fits in very well with the modulyss slogan "styles in carpet tiles".

Umesh Dayal

Umesh manages all operations at Heritage Carpets. He can be approached to arrange sampling, pricing, orders, follow up on deliveries and also ongoing customer support.

He conducts continuing research of new products and opportunities. Any input, requests and feedback is greatly received by Umesh.

Umesh’s background is mainly in commercial property, but also includes real estate and development.

Jodi Kennedy

Jodi Kennedy is the South Island representative for Heritage Carpets, she is based in Christchurch.

Jodi is extremely passionate about the building and flooring industries and was involved in her own flooring business for several years which has given her a good understanding of the challenges that re-sellers and designers face.

With an interior design Qualification she is more than happy to liaise with your clients to help with colour and designing that creative flooring solution.

Rashmika Nathoo

Rashmika joined Heritage Carpets in Late 2011. She performs office admin and general marketing duties.

She runs a tight ship and will often be the person you speak to on the phone when calling in for pricing or samples.

Rashmika works part time at Heritage Carpets and full time as a Mum and had a background in travel and administration.

This is the company from which Heritage Carpets (New Zealand) will source its products and model its operation on. The parent company (United Agencies Pte Ltd) was established in Singapore in 1936 and was converted to a Limited Liability Company in 1957. A wholly owned subsidiary was established in 1967 which started importing and distributing a wide range of floor coverings including rugs, broadloom carpets and accessories to the local market.

In 1984 the Company established its first overseas office in Kuala Lumpur. It continues to export soft floorcovering products to a growing number of countries across Asia and the Pacific.

Currently the Company operates from the "United Agencies Building" in Singapore and four other wholly owned warehouses. Stock includes over 5000 rolls of carpet, 3000 designs colours and sizes of rugs, untold underlay plus over 200,000 square metres of carpet tiles. Heritage (NZ) is fortunate and comfortable with the very high standard of service and support offered by its supplier including a serious commitment to product quality.
