ABOUT THE PROJECT
The award-winning design for Auckland law firm Anthony Harper is a showcase for materiality, design that is sympathetic to the floor plate architecture and democratic spatial management.
The curved envelope of the ANZ Building informed multiple layers of this design. The team at Wingate Architects reflected the cohesive culture of the law firm, particularly for the staff on level 35, working with the challenges of a deep floor plate to create non-hierarchical spaces, zoning with curved platforms and flowing edges between carpet colours.
The NZIA say of the offices, winning both an Interior Architecture and Resene Colour Award for 2024, that, “materials have been used creatively to great effect.”
Wingates selected DSGN Cloud carpet tiles from Heritage Carpets in two colours, laid to echo the curves of the architecture and delineate zones within the space. The organic pattern of DSGN Cloud by modulyss is inspired by cloud formations, as the name suggests. The biophilic nature of patterns in flooring design – calling upon rhythms that connect us to nature – is proven to contribute to a sense of well-being in a space.
DSGN Cloud contains both pre and post-consumer recycled content, GUT A+ rating, and has building certifications from GECA, BREEAM, LEED, WELL and HQA. All modulyss products have EPD.
