Umesh Dayal
Umesh is the owner-operator of Heritage Carpets NZ. Utterly passionate about carpets, he manages all operations at Heritage. With a background in property and asset management, Umesh combines an understanding of the commercial property market with over a decade of experience in the carpet industry; he understands what designers and developers need and want. A champion for eco-flooring solutions and personal customer service, he’s the problem solver.
For Umesh, “After school” means a game with the kids, many rides to swim, gym or hockey practice, a cold beer, cooking and eating barbecue. He and his son keep an aquarium with about 100 fish, he loves to travel and knows how to sniff out a deserted NZ beach.
He counts himself extremely lucky to have some great friends among his clients, many of whom are nice enough to join him for a meal or a drink when he’s away from home.

Ivy Feng
Ivy, our Sales Support and additional brain power to the Managing Director, has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in International Business and Commercial Law from Auckland University. After internships at Auckland Unlimited and Aladdin International Limited in project development, Ivy is savouring the opportunity to communicate with design professionals and hone her business acumen within the international context of working with our global partners. She thrives on the challenge of a busy and varied role, maintaining and managing international and local relationships.
Outside of work, Ivy loves to socialise with friends and go hiking around NZ. She is teaching herself to play guitar and piano.

Boon Han Liew
Boon joined Heritage more than 5 years ago, keeping the sales team and library well re-sourced with samples, and sending samples to specifiers and dealers. His love of colour and design is well sated in his role at Heritage; he knows each range intimately, loves the dynamism and challenge of preparing for new design concepts and shares the team’s pride when new product arrives in New Zealand. His nickname is, “The Muscle”.
Away from Heritage, Boon’s passion for colour extends to his love of landscape gardening. He thrives in the outdoors – the beach, the ski field, or hiking, having conquered the Tongariro Crossing and Mt Taranaki trails.

Suzanne Chamberlain
Suze works with us in our marketing role. She brings experience in both social media for SME and in the design industry, with 5 years in costing, procurement and marketing support for an interior design studio and a Bachelor of Architecture under her belt. Suze is passionate about sustainability and working with small businesses to help them grow.
She loves art, yoga, walking, being with her beloved friends and family, and sitting with the cat in the sunny patch.
