Connecting Samsung’s local Auckland office – both its employees and the space itself- to the global brand was central to the design concept for this fitout, designed and constructed by Unispace.
The floorplan commits to interconnected, flexible ‘neighbourhoods,’ allowing for cross-department visibility, and thereby a greater immersion in, and understanding of, Samsung’s range of products and services. Different types of spaces support distinct functions, from tech-enabled collaboration to training, focus and social zones.
“Elevating employee wellbeing and experience was a key objective, ensuring that the user journey was logical and the design prioritises connection to natural light and biophilic elements”.
The design team worked with Heritage Carpets to supply commercial carpet tiles that brought a nature-based colour and pattern reference to the design to support wellbeing. Different designs and colourways were combined with design elements to create disparate zones for varied functions throughout the workplace.
The Auckland Unispace design and construction project team achieved a beautiful result for Samsung, elevating functionality, supporting staff wellbeing, and achieving the connection to the brand that was at the heart of the design – on budget and on time, within a 12-week construction period.
